Lest I Forget
Oil on wood panel, 14 x 11 in
$850

The Weight of Love
Oil on wood panel, 18 x 24 in
$750
Artist statement
the ordinary routines of old age can become profound expressions of love. here, a husband carries his recently bathed wife to bed, meeting frailty not with reluctance but with compassion. the painting considers gentleness as a strength that matures over time—a willingness to bear another’s burdens with dignity, patience, and affection when words are no longer enough.

Better Person
Oil on canvas, 12 x 36 in
$820
Artist statement
this painting explores love as a force that reorients gravity. a man appears inverted while a woman rises, their connection forming a still axis within an approaching storm. the turbulence gathers, yet it does not command them.
her love calls him upward into greater wholeness; his turning becomes an expression of reciprocated devotion. in his becoming, she too is lifted—made weightless through mutual exchange.
“perfect love casteth out all fear.” not because the wind stops, but because love steadies the heart within it. even a fragile thread of connection can lift us, turning chaos into movement, and fear into becoming.

Your Eyes
Oil on canvas, 16 x 20 in
$850
Artist statement
your eyes is the first in a series of self-portraits exploring the quiet evolution of being seen. each panel reflects a distinct moment when another’s perception of me shifted. light and shadow convey the strain of early misunderstandings, shaped by secondhand impressions and limited context. as shared experiences deepen, those initial views gradually give way to clarity, steadiness, and a more truthful understanding.
your eyes is about the transformation that occurs when two lives begin to move toward each other, and how we come to know ourselves more fully through the evolving sight of another.

1:35
Oil on wood panel, 24 x 18 in
$960
Artist statement
1:35 reflects the solitude of an inward struggle. some burdens are carried in silence, beyond the reach of advice, distraction, or even language itself. in these moments, the mind can feel enclosed and encircled by shadows. yet the painting is not about abandonment. a light rests gently on the figure without demanding a response. it suggests that even in moments of exhaustion, uncertainty, or isolation, there remains a presence that attends and covers the struggling soul.

Evanescent
Acrylic on canvas, 36 x 36 in
$3,500
Artist statement
set in the nostalgic postwar era, evanescent captures the unity between a young married couple—poised, tender, and quietly content. the painting recalls a time when the ideals of commitment and enduring partnership were more firmly upheld. yet, beneath the vintage charm lies a quiet ache: the realization that such unions are growing rarer in today’s world. this piece mourns the fading presence of steadfast, faithful marriages and the gradual unraveling of the sacred bond between men and women. evanescent stands as both a tribute and a gentle lament—a visual reminder of what was once cherished, and what ought not be forgotten.
